I have this lady in my class called Maelin and she has some of the most disgusting habits. This topic is about her daily escapades.

Wednesday 16th Feb 2005

Maelin arrives in class for the first time. She's loud, speak english poorly and when she speaks, she speaks too fast for us to understand her.
She also doesnt understand you when you talk to her so you have to repeat yourself several times before she wanders off and does her own thing anyway.
Maelin is chinese and she started talking chinese to Karen (who is of asian appearance) but poor Karen doesnt speak chinese nor is her heritage chinese either. When Maelin finally stops chatting away and discovers the Karen doesnt understand her at all, Maelin gets very cross and storms off in disgust.

Wednesday 16th Feb 2005

Maelin leans over the garbage bin in the class room, closes off one nostril and proceeds noisily to blow out the contents of her sinuses into the bin, then does the same to the other nostril.

We all stop and look at her in shock, amazement and disgust. Its not something you should do in public, let alone in the middle of a classroom. We dont use the bin at all for the rest of the day.

Art History class. Maelin constantly interupts the class with meaningless input about topics the teacher isnt even discussing.

Drawing class. We are doing charcoal drawings. Maelin arrives late and interupts the class again. We are exploring diferent ways of drawing with charcoal and instead of listening to the teacher, Maelin proceeds to scratch at her paper with the willow charcoal stick in hard harsh lines. She isnt drawing as per the teachers instructions and then goes mad at him for moving the items that we have previously drawn to different places about the room.

To top the lesson off, she is sitting on a drawing donkey like the rest of us, leans to the side, cocks one leg and lets rip a very loud fart. Once again we sit there in shock, amazement and disgust. Maelin sits there like nothing has happened.
But we cant shrug this off and an accident because she lets another one rip later on in the afternoon.

Friday 18th feb 2005

Maelin doesnt listen to instructions in class again and when the teacher patiently tries to help her, Maelin still proceeds to do her own thing much to the annoyance of the teacher.

Later that day the teacher gathers us around to show us the lesson we will be doing next week and Maelin stand right in front of me and blocks my view of the teacher as we are all sitting down except Maelin. Im hoping that she doesnt fart again.

Maelin asks my sister where the Student common room is so my sister tells her knowing the Maelin isnt listening/comprehending and then Maelin walks off in the opposite direction to the common room. You cannot miss the common room because its part of the front lobby of the school. Maelin has to pass it to get to classes.

Im not making this up, she's a real flesh and blood person. She farts in class and acts like nothing has happened no matter who she's offended by her offensive smell.

This week she's been pretty quiet but we nearly had another student in our class that outshone her.

Peter was going to join our class but he's outside the 2 week cutoff period and when he was told this he got all upset and directly asked the teacher if he should take this personally. WTF? Ya cant join mate just accept the fact that you didnt join up before the deadline and its nothing personal at all.

But what made Peter stand out from the cround was his high class 'camp'. He was doing his best Liberace/Peter Allen impersonations I believe but I dont think he was acting I think he was just being himself.

Whether he was gay or not doesnt come into the equation, he was just plain rude and very touchy when you asked him questions. His whole personality just clashed with the class and no matter how hard we tried to make him feel welcome, he was always on the defence.

He didnt bother me but he did do one thing that was not acceptable at all and that was to rifle through both mine and my sisters tool boxes. That is a big NO NO. You ask first for permission. To top it all off he then returns the tool he was using on the clay by chucking it back into the box and left it covered in clay. You use it, you return it clean. We both locked our tool boxes after that.

Peter then tried to crack onto one of the male students in our class. Thankfully Laud took it as a compliment but Pter took it badly when Laud rejected his advances.

When Peter was told he couldnt be in the class any longer, he thumped in the sides of this coil pot he had started, threw a wad of wet newspaper on top of it and stated that "This was half a day wasted" and flounced out of the room dramatically. What spoilt his exit was that he had to return and get his sunglasses which he practically waved in everyones faces as he left.

If he wasnt a Drag Queen then Im a monkeys aunt. I guess it takes all sorts to make this world go round and Peter and Maelin are one of them.

What is it with that class that attracts all those weirdos? I'm always thrilled to meet weird people, they give me substance for conversation. But I never meet anyone stranger than me anymore.

Maybe I should join an art class then?
